He played over 300 games during his 18 year club career which started and finished with Newcastle Falcons. In between he won 3 Premiership titles during his 119 appearances with Leicester Tigers and he spent 3 seasons French giants Toulouse in what was a glittering playing career.

He also earned 60 caps and featured in 2 World Cups for England between 2006 and 2014.
