Andy Nicol
Andy Nicol

Andy Nicol represented the prestigious Barbarians, British Lions, and captained Scotland with distinction, and enjoyed a long and successful career with Bath, whom he led to a European Cup Win.

Andy won 23 caps for Scotland over a ten-year period - seven as captain – his first against England in 1992 while with Dundee HSFP, his last coming against New Zealand at Murrayfield in 2001 while as captain of Glasgow Rugby.

In 2000, he captained Scotland to a memorable Calcutta Cup victory over the Auld Enemy at Murrayfield, so denying England the Grand Slam.

Since retiring from the professional game, Andy is now working in Banking with RBS Private Banking, for the BCC and is also a regular columnist for The Herald. He is also Chairman of the West of Scotland Institute of Sport.

His superb sense of humour comes across in his after dinner speech which is coloured by stories from his career highlights and the characters he has encountered along the way. Andy has spoken all over the World and would make a superb addition to any event.
